About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager for its Raleigh, North Carolina office. The role combines technical and project management responsibilities leading water and wastewater design projects for municipal and private clients. Typical work includes utility and pump station design, inflow and infiltration studies, hydraulic modeling, collection system condition assessment and design, and water distribution and storage. There may also be opportunities to work on treatment projects, including process performance evaluation and process design.

The Project Manager will manage client relationships and help position Dewberry to perform large and complex water/wastewater projects. The role works as a peer with water/wastewater practitioners throughout North Carolina, providing technical expertise across a range of projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 6–10 years of experience with increasing levels of project management and client responsibilities.
• Experience working with a multidisciplinary design team.
• Experience developing design documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license, or eligibility to obtain the license within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a multidisciplinary project design team.
• Manage project scope and budget.
• Prepare engineering reports.
• Perform or lead pump station design, inflow and infiltration studies, hydraulic modeling, collection system condition assessment and design, and water distribution and storage work.
• Develop opinions of probable project cost.
• Provide construction-phase engineering services.
• Manage client relationships and help position Dewberry for large and complex water/wastewater projects.
• Provide technical expertise to projects in collaboration with water/wastewater practitioners throughout North Carolina.
