About The Position

Project Manager Gatineau, Québec Main role scope Manage projects so that they are built in accordance with the design, budget, and schedule. Monitor project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, labor, materials, equipment maintenance, safety, and quality control. Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments, and ensure their follow-up and schedule. Act as the interface with the project team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Monitor and inspect the construction site to maintain a safe work environment and provide leadership to ensure that policies, procedures, and standards are met. Provide technical expertise. Supervise, guide, and evaluate the performance of direct reports and other team members. Meet with owners and consultants, and have the ability to effectively communicate the company's concerns and best interests. Oversee project closeout. Identify and manage risks and opportunities on construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of progressive construction experience.
  • Experience in heavy civil engineering projects and large construction projects is mandatory.
  • Thorough knowledge of the construction industry, including construction materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law, and building codes.
  • Experience in estimating in the construction industry.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to succeed in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to build rapport and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate versatility and ingenuity to overcome business challenges.
  • French required.
