About The Position

ReNuke Services is seeking a Project Manager for our client's site in Raleigh, NC. This position is for local candidates only, with no relocation or per diem offered. The selected candidate will be required to be at the station or office at least three (3) days per week. The candidate may be based out of North Carolina Regional Headquarters (Raleigh, NC), Roxboro Station (Semora, NC), or Mayo Station (Roxboro, NC). Projects will be assigned at any of these station locations, and travel to project sites is required. A personal vehicle will be driven with mileage reimbursed. Travel to Roxboro and Mayo Stations (both around the Roxboro area) and possibly to HF Lee Station (Goldsboro) is expected, but most project needs are at Roxboro/Mayo. The Project Manager 2 has single point accountability or can be under the general direction of a Project Director or Senior PM. This position is responsible for management, or assisting management, of all phases of project planning and execution to ensure project success factors are met. These include but are not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration. The position is typically assigned a portfolio of 'White' or 'Green' ranked projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Risk-Informed Project Ranking Process. The position is accountable for a portfolio of assigned projects with Low to Moderate levels of risk that impact various levels of the Company, Senior Management or External Agencies. May be assigned projects with specific risk-informed requirements based on specific experience and skill sets. Serve as unifying agents providing leadership, decision making, management, guidance, coordination, and control of overall projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of the Company.

• Serve as unifying agents providing leadership, decision making, management, guidance, coordination, and control of overall projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of the Company.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, oversight management, delegation and coordination to the various internal and external organizations that are providing services to the project (engineering, project controls, estimating, construction management, supply chain, legal, Environmental Health and Safety, QA/QC, operations, communications, regulatory, security, fuels, transmission, etc.).
• Structure, lead, and/or assist in leading all project related meetings and reports required to ensure open communication between all team members, key stakeholders, and management (monthly project reviews, kickoff meetings, etc.) and to properly report project status.
• Present reports to appropriate management / governance team skillfully.
• Plan assigned project (s) including scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality and closeout. This includes but not limited to scope definition, estimating, schedule creation and monitoring, cost control measures, procurement/contracting strategies, equipment selection, vendor selection, start-up and commissioning plans, and integration processes such as turnover to operations, and warranty management.
• Execute projects with a focus on Event Free and Operations Quality, according to plan within designed scope, cost and schedule limits.
