We're proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies! We’re looking for an Environmental Project Manager to take the lead on a mix of office and field-based environmental projects. In this role, you’ll manage project budgets and schedules, work closely with clients and regulators, support field crews, and help keep projects running smoothly and safely from start to finish. You’ll also play a key part in bidding new work, building cost estimates, and mentoring team members as the business grows.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in Environmental Sciences or a related field
  • Hands-on experience in environmental site assessment, remediation, and sampling (soil, water, air)
  • Comfortable working independently, solving problems in the field, and adapting to changing project needs while keeping timelines and budgets on track
  • Strong communicator who can work effectively with clients, regulators, First Nations, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Ability to perform physically demanding field work, including lifting up to 100 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in challenging outdoor conditions
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently to multiple project sites across the North, including remote locations
  • Willingness to work both in the office and in the field, with exposure to weather, dust, noise, mud, water, and other site conditions
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to remote project locations
  • First Aid and WHMIS/TDG certifications (or willingness to complete training provided by KBL)

Responsibilities

  • Manage environmental projects from planning through completion, including budgets, schedules, reporting, and overall project performance
  • Coordinate with clients, regulators, internal teams, subcontractors, and field crews to meet project and compliance requirements
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, work plans, and proposals for new and existing project opportunities
  • Oversee field activities, site safety, sampling programs, and compliance monitoring to ensure work is completed safely and to regulatory standards
  • Lead, support, and mentor field staff through training, task delegation, and ongoing project communication
