About The Position

eDesign is seeking a trustworthy, hungry, and hands-on Project Manager with experience in high-end residential AV, lighting, shading, and control systems. This role is primarily based on construction sites, requiring a technical inclination and a desire to understand how systems work. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, in-house staff, other trades, GCs, architects, and reps, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an in-person role located in Kihei, HI.

Requirements

  • Experience on construction sites as a Project Manager in AV/LV.
  • Knowledge of the built environment.
  • Experience with all three phases of implementation (Rough/Trim/Final).
  • A steady work history (3 years between job changes).
  • High Emotional Quotient (EQ).
  • Ability to read, interpret, manifest, mark-up, and distribute plan sets/blueprints.
  • Proficiency in providing status updates in Project Management Software (e.g., iPoint, Zoho, DTools).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, in-house staff, other trades, GC, architect, and reps.
  • Understand, deliver, and troubleshoot the scope of work as needed.
  • Plan and manage project timelines and scheduling, ensuring alignment with resources.
  • Maintain project profitability by keeping actual hours at or below budgeted hours, and by removing redundancy and errors.
  • Issue work orders to the team and coordinate with third parties.
  • Ensure quality control, verifying that all work meets the scope of work, plans, company standards, and client expectations.
  • Read, interpret, manifest, mark-up, and distribute plan sets/blueprints to the team.
  • Create, submit, get approval for, confirm payment, and execute change orders.
  • Provide continuous status updates in Project Management Software (e.g., iPoint, Zoho, DTools).
  • Work on construction sites with situational awareness.
  • Supervise and assist in the professional development of technicians.
