This position acts as the Project Manager managing administrative and technical oversight of site characterization and remediation of hazardous substance and petroleum sites regulated by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s State Cleanup Program. The position reports directly to the Section Chief for the program. Project managers are expected to develop project goals, plans and timelines, and work in conjunction with technical support staff, legal counsel and IDEM Management to ensure that site characterization and cleanups are conducted following appropriate IDEM agency guidelines and State and Federal laws. Work is accomplished both in the office and in the field at project sites. Position will require periodic travel and field work in varying weather conditions and potential for long days during field work completion. Extra work hours will be compensated through a flexible work schedule.
