About The Position

The Project Manager (PM) is accountable for the safety, compliance, quality, cost, and schedule for all assigned projects within the General Plant Capital Maintenance (GPMC) program. The PM will lead a team of internal and external resources to ensure project milestones are completed, including Engineering, Materials Procurement, Regulatory, Environmental, and Land approvals, Construction, Commissioning, Asset Integration, and Closeout.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in project management, project engineering, or construction management
  • Familiar with natural gas pipelines, compression facilities, and measurement facilities
  • Deep understanding of project management fundamentals and project life cycle
  • Skilled in Microsoft family products (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
  • All applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based, without restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project team to complete scope verification, cost verification, preliminary execution schedule (gantt chart), and cash flow (forecast) early in the project lifecycle.
  • Complete monthly cost forecasting, schedule updates, and manage the trend log and watchlist with Project Controls.
  • Participate in third-party engineering to ensure design meets project requirements.
  • Review and approve Purchase Orders (POs) for material and equipment purchase.
  • Evaluate long-lead equipment bids with Project Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure cost and lead time align with project requirements.
  • Stay informed on material/equipment delivery dates and work with Supply Chain to expedite where needed.
  • Prepare and submit the Project Determination and Information Form (PDIF) to obtain regulatory, environmental, and land approvals prior to construction, and monitor progress to ensure timely execution.
  • Prepare construction bid package with Supply Chain, Project Engineering, Construction Management, and other project teams.
  • Manage the construction bid, bid evaluation, and contract award with Supply Chain.
  • Identify third-party inspection resources with the Construction Management team.
  • Manage the Prime construction contractor from a scope delivery/commercial standpoint.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate response to Requests for Information (RFIs) with Engineering and the project team.
  • Validate and disposition Change Order Request Notifications (CORNs) with Supply Chain and the project team.
  • Lead a positive safety culture to ensure incident and injury-free projects.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with appropriate teams to ensure new facilities are ready for service by the required date.
  • Coordinate asset integration and project closeout activities.
