About The Position

Edgewood Properties, a leading real estate development and property management company founded in 1992 with corporate headquarters in New Jersey, is experiencing rapid portfolio growth. We are seeking a contract Project Manager to lead the company-wide Yardi ERP implementation and support other IT/EP initiatives. This is a full-time contract position based onsite at our headquarters in Piscataway, NJ, five days per week, for the term of the engagement. The role's first priority is the Yardi ERP implementation, involving project plan management, risk and budget tracking, vendor coordination, and ensuring alignment between business and IT. Additionally, this role will manage other IT/EP initiatives such as Microsoft 365, identity and security, and document management, and potentially broader organizational initiatives. This is a fixed-term contract engagement, expected to last at least 8-10 months for the Yardi implementation, with potential extensions for other projects. The role requires rigorous planning and stakeholder management skills, and while no specific industry background is required, real estate or property management experience is a strong plus, as is prior exposure to Yardi or similar ERP systems.

Requirements

5+ years of project management experience running structured, milestone-driven projects; PMP or similar certification a plus but not required.
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and external vendors.
Comfortable managing more than one project or initiative at a time, potentially across different domains — this isn't a single-project role.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Available to commit for the full duration of the engagement.

Nice To Haves

Real estate, property management, or related industry experience is strongly preferred.
Experience managing an ERP, financial system, or other large enterprise software implementation. Yardi experience specifically is preferred but not required.
Comfortable working with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) for status reporting, planning, and research.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain the master project plan and schedule using milestone/Gantt-based planning.
Serve as Edgewood's accountable day-to-day project lead on the Yardi implementation, and take on the same role across other IT initiatives — and potentially broader organizational initiatives — as they're assigned.
Prepare and run stage-gate reviews with project leadership, including formal go/no-go decisions at each phase transition.
Support user acceptance testing coordination, training rollout logistics, and go-live/cutover planning.
Coordinate between internal stakeholders, Yardi's professional services team, and any third-party implementation partner.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders — Property Management, Accounting, Construction, and Legal.
Run regular status reporting to IT leadership and project governance.
Maintain the project risk and issue log; drive resolution or escalation of blockers.
Track project budget against actuals across vendor contracts and implementation costs.
Manage change requests and the change calendar across concurrent workstreams to avoid schedule collisions — including collisions between Yardi and whatever else is running in parallel.
