About The Position

As a PROJECT MANAGER on our team, you will support project execution through the proactive management of deliverable performance from business award through end-of-life. You will champion the Overall Project Plan and Reviews, demonstrating a proven ability to work effectively under remote supervision with strong communication, accountability, and self-management skills. Your role involves Risk Management through cross-functional problem solving and mitigation strategy development, and championing cross-functional team discussions to ensure cooperation with relevant technical experts (Engineering Project Leader, Quality, Sales, SCM, Manufacturing, etc.) to drive expected progress of product development and achieve overall project milestones. You will assess the critical path and project risks/issues while aligning with stakeholders to deliver flawless execution. You will develop relationships with customers and engage with them regularly for all Project activities, ensuring communication alignment between stakeholders. You will prepare status reports for assigned project activities (Executive Reports, open issues/key actions, critical path, issues/risk, progress vs. KPI’s, etc.) and escalate risks/issues as needed to protect project commitments. You will ensure proper staffing is in alignment with key areas, including resource planning and project goals, and meet investment spending and financial statistics from Project Award through CAPEX planning and tracking and spend contribution. You will lead by example to develop a “one team” mindset and environment, provide feedback into processes as lessons learned to improve future project and organizational performance, and provide input into Customer Sales Lead / Product org on key features to incorporate into the product roadmap. You will support the Customer Sales Lead in their pursuits by providing input on feasibility and cost associated with programs, and work with them to support maintenance post-launch collaborating with Product, Service orgs, and Regional Mfg., SCM, and Quality Lead. You will also work across regions to coordinate workforce planning to deliver programs for OEMs not headquartered in region and provide project forecast to feed into budgeting and financial planning, aligning project priorities to top-down financial targets.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of project management / program development experience within automotive electronics
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong customer interface skills
  • Proficient in MS excel, PowerPoint, MS project, and MS word
  • Strong organization, planning and follow up skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent team player and ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to demonstrate and communicate a methodical and analytical approach to problem solving

Responsibilities
