About The Position

Mariani Landscape is seeking top talent to join our team as a Project Manager. This associate is responsible for managing assigned design-build projects from pre-construction through closeout. The role oversees project scope, budget, subcontractor commitments, and scheduling while coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in project management, landscape architecture, design, or construction.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of landscape terminology, plant materials, applicable construction materials, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, including receiving and providing direction and constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with external clients and Mariani associates.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate accountability for work being performed and completed on schedule.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of general computer functions, Microsoft Office programs, and the company production software Aspire.
  • Ability to lead and direct others effectively as needed.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties based on business needs and workload.
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Landscape Designer or Project Architect preferred.
  • CDL preferred.
  • Industry certifications preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned design-build projects from pre-construction through project closeout.
  • Review project scope, estimates, budgets, subcontractor bids, and contract requirements upon project award.
  • Prepare bid comparisons and coordinate subcontractor selection and agreements with the appropriate project leaders.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Construction Manager and Design Director.
  • Lead project kick-off, subcontractor coordination, and Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings.
  • Coordinate permits, submittments, shop drawings, samples, RFIs, inspections, and other required project documentation.
  • Oversee project installation to ensure work is completed according to design intent, quality standards, schedule, and Client expectations.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, the design team, field operations, Administrative Support, Accounting, and other internal departments throughout the project.
  • Prepare and manage proposed change orders, subcontractor change orders, and change order logs.
  • Review subcontractor pay requests and work with the billing team to ensure accurate and timely Client billing.
  • Monitor project costs, financial performance, and profitability and communicate project status to the Design Director.
  • Maintain Client relationships throughout construction and communicate design changes or project concerns as needed.
  • Coordinate punch lists, corrective work, substantial completion, and final project closeout documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation and manage priorities to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet internal and external expectations.
