About The Position

Harrison Home Systems is seeking a trustworthy, hungry, hands-on, and technically inclined Project Manager with experience in high-end residential AV, lighting, shading, and control systems. The ideal candidate will have experience on construction sites, understand the built environment, and be proficient in all three phases of implementation (Rough/Trim/Final). This role requires a steady work history, a pleasant disposition, and high emotional intelligence. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, internal staff, other trades, GCs, and architects, responsible for understanding and delivering the scope of work, managing project timelines and profitability, issuing work orders, ensuring quality control, interpreting blueprints, and managing change orders. You will also be responsible for maintaining up-to-date status in project management software and working on construction sites with situational awareness.

Requirements

  • Experience on construction sites as a Project Manager in AV/LV.
  • Knowledge of the built environment.
  • Experience with all three phases of implementation (Rough/Trim/Final).
  • A steady work history (3 years between job changes).
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ).
  • Ability to read, interpret, manifest, mark-up, and distribute plan sets/blueprints.
  • Proficiency in project management software (iPoint).

  • Hands-on and prefer working in the field over behind a desk.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, in-house staff, other trades, GC, and architects.
  • Understand, deliver, and troubleshoot the scope of work as needed.
  • Plan and manage project timelines, ensuring alignment with resources.
  • Maintain project profitability by keeping actual hours at or below budgeted hours, and by removing redundancy and errors.
  • Issue work orders to the team and coordinate with third parties.
  • Ensure all work meets the scope of work, plans, company standards, and client expectations.
  • Read, interpret, manifest, mark-up, and distribute plan sets/blueprints to the team.
  • Create, submit, get approval for, confirm payment, and execute change orders.
  • Maintain up-to-date status in Project Management Software (iPoint) at all times.
  • Work on construction sites with situational awareness.
