The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of assigned projects, serving as the primary client contact, and managing logistics and production performance. The PM ensures all supervisors and subcontractors report to them and are accountable for their work. They are also responsible for accurate and timely completion and submission of daily paperwork to the project accountant or billing department. The role involves developing job priorities with the client, arranging for necessary equipment and materials, and coordinating subcontractors and labor. The PM must maintain appropriate staffing ratios, assign tasks, and ensure quality and quantity of work. Daily safety meetings are mandatory, and the PM directs the activities of all on-site personnel. They approve subcontractor bids and invoices, document project costs, and conduct daily meetings to discuss project progression and scope changes. The PM reviews timesheets for accuracy and ensures proper documentation of drying progress on water loss jobs. Ultimately, the PM is responsible for the successful completion of the project, including cost control and reporting. For projects over $100,000, a Critical Path Management Plan must be provided within 24 hours, outlining the remediation strategy. A daily equipment usage tally and a drying plan for the restoration team are also required within 24 hours of site mobilization. The PM will also direct the efficient closure and demobilization of the project.
