About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the daily operational execution of a large cybersecurity staff augmentation engagement. This role manages the operational backbone of the program — it tracks resource logistics, deliverables, and coordinates onboarding and transitions, and sets up augmented cybersecurity personnel to perform. The Project Manager works closely with the Senior Program Manager to translate program-level strategy into consistent, ground-level execution.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience, with at least 1–2 years supporting staff augmentation, managed services, or professional services engagements.
  • Experience working within or alongside the cybersecurity industry (e.g., SOC operations, GRC, security engineering, or MDR).
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate logistics and execution across large, distributed teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of maintaining accurate program documentation and tracking systems.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills; comfortable preparing status reports and facilitating operational meetings.
  • Experience supporting staff augmentation programs at MSSPs, cybersecurity consulting firms, or government contractors.
  • Experience coordinating with HR, talent acquisition, or vendor management teams on resource lifecycle activities.
  • Agile or hybrid project delivery experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day execution across multiple program workstreams, tracking tasks, milestones, and deliverables against the program plan set by the Senior Program Manager.
  • Coordinate the onboarding, offboarding, and role transitions of augmented cybersecurity staff, including access provisioning, equipment, badging, and client-specific compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for augmented personnel, resolving day-to-day issues and escalating to the Senior Program Manager when appropriate.
  • Maintain program documentation including project plans, RACI matrices, risk logs, issue trackers, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Track and report on resource utilization, attendance, and performance metrics; surface trends and anomalies to the Senior Program Manager.
  • Prepare weekly status reports, dashboards, and meeting materials for internal and client-facing governance meetings.
  • Facilitate recurring operational meetings including standups, team syncs, and working sessions with client operational leads.
  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning on open requisitions, candidate pipelines, and staffing coverage gaps.
  • Support the Senior Program Manager in preparing quarterly business review (QBR) materials, SLA reporting, and contractual deliverables.
  • Ensure augmented staff are aware of and adhere to client policies, security protocols, and program standards.
