About The Position

This is a temporary Project Manager role with an estimated duration of 12 months, potentially with extensions. The position requires 100% onsite work at the Client's site in Alvin, TX. Candidates must be able to relocate as required. The role involves planning, coordinating, and managing multiple construction projects, assisting with document development, bidding, contract execution, and compliance. Responsibilities also include coordinating scheduling and budgeting, reviewing cost estimates, assisting with contractor selection and negotiations, and managing quality control.

Requirements

  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Alvin, TX.
  • Experience with Construction project management.
  • Experience with Facilities renovation and capital improvement projects.
  • Experience with Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems upgrades.
  • Experience with Fire protection system upgrades.
  • Experience with Technology and security systems upgrades.
  • Experience building envelope upgrades.
  • Experience with Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method.
  • Experience with Construction document development, plans, and specifications.
  • Experience with Project scheduling and budgeting.
  • Experience with Quality control and quality assurance.
  • Experience with Contract negotiations and contract compliance.
  • Experience with Cost estimation and review of statements of probable cost.
  • Experience with Professional liability or errors and omissions insurance ($1,000,000 minimum per occurrence).
  • Experience with Higher education or community college construction projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with K-12 construction project management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple construction projects.
  • Assist with development of construction documents, plans, and specifications during the design and construction phase of projects.
  • Assist with bidding process, contract execution, construction management, and contract compliance for multiple construction projects.
  • Coordinate project scheduling and budgeting.
  • Review statements of probable cost provided by architects and engineers.
  • Assist with contractor or trade selection and cost estimates provided by construction managers-at-risk.
  • Assist with contract negotiations as needed.
