About The Position

The Project Manager oversees all aspects of architectural projects and supervises the Project Architect to ensure the highest quality construction documents. The role oversees the project schedule across Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding, and Construction Administration, and is responsible for completing projects on time and within budget in accordance with PBK’s quality and client service standards. The position reports to the Client Executive/Principal Architect.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Architecture license.
• 15+ years of professional experience.
• Ability to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, and to give assignments to office support staff, consultants, and vendors.
• Willingness to make decisions and demonstrate sound, accurate judgment; explain the reasoning for decisions; involve appropriate people in decision-making; and make timely decisions.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of building codes.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of graphic programs, including SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the Project Architect and project team to ensure high-quality construction documents.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Organize and direct architectural and/or engineering teams so work is executed in an orderly, timely, and coordinated manner.
• Direct, organize, and mentor junior staff, including overseeing their assignments.
• Maintain positive client relationships throughout the project and regularly update clients on project progress.
• Provide technical advice to the project team.
• Support the Client Executive and/or Principal Architect in supervising and delegating work.
• Lead construction administration jobsite meetings with contractors and owners.
