About The Position

The Project Manager oversees all aspects of architectural projects and supervises the Project Architect to ensure high-quality construction documents. The role oversees the project schedule across Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding, and Construction Administration, and ensures projects are completed on time and within budget in accordance with PBK’s quality and client service standards. The position reports to the Client Executive/Principal Architect.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Architecture license.
• 15 or more years of professional experience.
• Ability to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, and give assignments to office support staff, consultants, and vendors.
• Willingness to make decisions; demonstrate sound and accurate judgment; support and explain reasoning for decisions; include appropriate people in decision-making; and make timely decisions.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of building codes.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of graphic programs such as SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the Project Architect and project team to ensure high-quality construction documents.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Organize and direct architectural and/or engineering teams to execute work in an orderly, timely, and coordinated manner.
• Direct, organize, and mentor junior staff, with oversight responsibility for their assignments.
• Maintain positive client relationships and regularly update clients on project progress.
• Provide technical advice to the project team.
• Support the Client Executive and/or Principal Architect in supervising and delegating work.
• Lead construction administration jobsite meetings with contractors and owners.
