About The Position

Automated Logic is seeking a Project Manager for mission-critical/data center projects in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management expertise, develop plans and budgets, identify and resolve project issues, document delays, perform critical path analysis, and deliver progress reports. Responsibilities include improving communication with clients and field teams, analyzing test results to solve design or system problems, and developing specialized product knowledge for diagnostics.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience in Construction, HVAC or Building Automation
  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade
  • Capable of lifting items up to 20lbs
  • Ability to be insured for driving company vehicles or personal vehicle on company behalf

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or technical field.
  • Experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or related field.
  • Experience with building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects, including following project processes and providing direction to the Project Team.
  • Complete projects per contractual requirements within budget, on-time, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Forecast project revenues and re-estimate project costs monthly to monitor costs and maximize project profitability.
  • Assist with managing and tracking the overall financial performance of projects, including project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collections, and re-estimating costs of installation projects.
  • Track progress and identify/resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules.
  • Manage the delivery of the contracted scope and secure change orders upon scope creep.
  • Coordinate project materials, use shared resources, identify resource constraints, and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any problems.
  • Build relationships with sub-contractors, identify issues, and take corrective action plans to remedy any matters.
  • Facilitate project tasks with various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
