About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for project execution in accordance with main contractual obligations, including technical requirements, delivery terms, quality, and profitability. This role serves as the primary interface with the customer on behalf of the company, managing and monitoring costs to safeguard project margins and maintain customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience in the management and control of value-added contracts (M&E - Material & Engineering)
  • Experience in the negotiation and management of sub-contractors
  • Experience in data center applications
  • Commercial skills, including the ability to understand specifications, contracts, and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of all MS Office applications, MS Project and Oracle
  • English fluency

Responsibilities

  • Manage installation projects, including all Vertiv products and services and local activities.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for the customer, responsible for quality and compliance of project delivery and installation management, essential documentation production, attendance at factory testing and validation visits, production of job-specific documents, management of suppliers and sub-contractors, and presence during client site meetings, site testing, and deliveries.
  • Proactively identify and address potential problems during project implementation, highlighting and supervising critical areas and collaborating with other functions for prompt solutions.
  • Operate within and strive to improve measurable project performance, including target delivery margins, budgets, on-time delivery, and engineering team efficiency.
  • Supervise project purchase activities in collaboration with the purchasing manager to ensure budget compliance and develop cost-reduction strategies.
  • Coordinate externally with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure project delivery aligns with client expectations.
  • Coordinate shipping and customer delivery activities to avoid stock inventory.
  • Coordinate local sub-contractors for on-site installation and assistance to guarantee customer start-up times.
  • Collaborate with Service Operations teams to coordinate engineering resources, ensuring safe and efficient site works.
  • Oversee the progress, quality, and conservation of all project-related reports and documentation, including drawings, specifications, customer requests, meeting reports, certifications, and shipping/delivery documents.
  • Build customer loyalty through solid relationship development.
  • Provide continual client support throughout the project lifecycle, from order placement to handover.
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue forecasting and project margin measurement.
  • Maintain up-to-date project status reports and variation monitoring.
  • Provide timely feedback to the Departmental Manager and internal departments on active project status.
  • Ensure timely billing and adherence to payment terms.
  • Ensure compliance of all works with Vertiv and local regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage and perform all activities related to International Trade Compliance Regulations in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program.
