About The Position
Hiring on behalf of an established Southern California infrastructure contractor. The employer is disclosed to candidates who move forward. The role involves pricing and managing pipeline and gas distribution projects from award through closeout. The position is in field gas operations with a clear path to broader responsibility.
Requirements
- 4-year degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or 8 years in a comparable role
- Project management experience in pipeline, gas or underground utility construction
- Estimating, scheduling and construction accounting software experience
- Strong written and verbal communication, with real attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Southern California public utility clients
- Degree in business management, project management or construction engineering
Responsibilities
- Review bid instructions and project plan documents
- Run quantity take-offs for self-performed and subcontracted scopes
- Request subcontractor and material quotes and select vendors
- Build bids in estimating software and review them with operations
- Prepare bid packages: work plans, schedules, pricing sheets and written deliverables
- Manage awarded projects: submittals, RFIs, notices, scheduling and billing
- Own client communication through the life of the job
