The Project Manager provides leadership and management to assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, profitably, on time, and to standards of quality and integrity. The role champions execution through preconstruction when assigned and construction, and may participate in marketing, estimating, bidding, and contract negotiations. The position has two progression steps: Step I generally handles less-complex projects of $20 million or less and typically has 3–5 years of experience in the position; Step II generally handles medium-scale projects of $20–$50 million and typically has 5–10 years of experience. The Project Manager is accountable for project success, including profitability, safety, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction. The role establishes and manages the project charter and management plans; coordinates with the Project Superintendent and Project Engineer; manages resources, schedules, budgets, costs, contracts, payments, changes, claims, closeout, and warranty matters; and participates in estimating and business development activities. This is a safety-sensitive position. Physical requirements include wearing personal protective equipment; frequently reaching and using hands to handle objects; occasionally stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing, and lifting, pushing, or pulling; using electronic devices on a limited basis; and sitting, standing, or walking short distances for up to the duration of a workday. The role involves frequent interaction with people and requires compliance with safety standards and procedures. Sundt describes itself as a 100% employee-owned contractor. It offers competitive pay, benefits, incentive programs, and training focused on personal and professional growth.
