About The Position

The Project Manager reports to the Deputy Account Director and is responsible for managing projects, including construction, MEP, and others as assigned while providing direct management oversight of the Chief Engineer, who leads the Engineering team. This role ensures projects and engineering operations are aligned, delivered safely, on schedule, meeting client expectations and in support of overall building performance. The Project Manager ensures all assigned tasks are delivered at the highest service level to meet or exceed Donohoe’s contractual requirements. The Project Manager takes ownership of assigned projects from beginning to end. This includes establishing project plans, tasks, resources, and ensuring a clear scope of work to achieve timelines and client expectations. The role involves coordinating and communicating with internal and external stakeholders, proactively identifying and removing obstacles, providing timely updates, managing project budgets and billing, and recommending process efficiencies. The Project Manager will also conduct competitive processes, develop statements of work, obtain bids, issue RFPs, vet subcontractors, utilize CMMS systems, manage subcontractors/vendors, review construction projects for compliance, and conduct site inspections. Additionally, the Project Manager will establish and maintain effective relationships with various parties and conduct client/project team meetings. The role also includes Engineering Leadership Oversight, directly managing the Chief Engineer, partnering to align capital projects with operational priorities, supporting engineering staffing and training, ensuring consistent engineering standards and safety practices, and encouraging innovation and technology use. The Project Manager will monitor project progress, costs, quality, and risk, and resolve issues. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimal (4) four years of recent experience (within the past (7) years).
  • Experience as a first line Supervisor in directing personnel responsible for accomplishment of similar operations.
  • Knowledge of "mission critical systems" and their applications.
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel and email applications.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in Building Operations.
  • Possess excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively supervise.
  • Possess a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects, including construction, MEP, and others as assigned.
  • Provide direct management oversight of the Chief Engineer.
  • Ensure projects and engineering operations are aligned, delivered safely, on schedule, and meet client expectations.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are delivered at the highest service level.
  • Establish project plans, tasks, resources, and ensure a clear scope of work.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and remove obstacles.
  • Provide timely updates to all engaged parties.
  • Identify and manage project budget costs, and proper billing procedures.
  • Proactively recommend and implement efficiencies in processes and delivery.
  • Conduct competitive process, develop statement of work construction documents, obtain bids/proposals/cost estimates for Tenant Work Orders and construction projects.
  • Issue Requests for Proposals to subcontractors for tenant projects.
  • Vet and interview all potential subcontractors.
  • Utilize CMMS system for tracking.
  • Manage all subcontractors/vendors and their respective subcontracts supporting the tenant projects.
  • Review tenant construction projects to ensure compliance with IFC building standards and to ensure that work meets tenant satisfaction.
  • Conduct building site inspections and coordinated repairs.
  • Establish and maintain respectful and effective relationships with Donohoe team, tenants, clients, vendors and other supporting Donohoe’s World Bank-IFC contract.
  • Conduct client/project team meetings as required.
  • Directly manage the Chief Engineer, providing leadership, performance management, and professional development.
  • Partner with the Chief Engineer to align capital projects with operational priorities, preventive maintenance programs, and long-term asset planning.
  • Support engineering staffing, training, and succession planning through the Chief Engineer.
  • Ensure consistent engineering standards, safety practices, and operational excellence.
  • Work with the team to present ideas of innovation and the use of technology in Engineering for greater effectiveness, increased sustainability and or cost savings.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and risk; proactively resolve issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
