About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager with a robust MEP technical background to join our team in Kansas City. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to manage multiple construction projects, focusing on major MEP equipment, HVAC, and roof replacements. You will work closely with a senior project manager to gain valuable training and experience.

Requirements

  • 6 years of relevant experience in project or construction management.
  • 2-3 years of experience in project administration or accounting positions.
  • Ability to prepare and track budgets with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with executive-level clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to multitask and work independently or in a team.
  • Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed.
  • Demonstrate full accountability for end-to-end project management.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in construction management or real estate.
  • Understanding of business relocation technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with architectural drawings and space planning concepts.
  • Project Management experience in construction, commercial real estate, and MEP infrastructure.
  • Experience with PDS technology applications and vendor management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of project scope, schedule, and approved budget while ensuring superior client service.
  • Oversee multiple projects in various phases, from project identification through to financial closeout.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
  • Conduct weekly meetings and document project-related issues.
  • Prepare and update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Lead project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and client teams, to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Provide regular project updates on schedule, budget, and risk to the Team Lead or Regional Manager.
  • Develop risk management plans and lead teams through work authorization processes.
