The Project Manager - Transportation will advocate for and uphold the design intent of stations, transit facilities, and urban infrastructure, ensuring seamless translation into coordinated, high-quality construction documentation. This role involves fostering and maintaining collaborative professional working relationships with the Project Leadership Team, participating on and/or leading multiple project teams, and assisting senior management in developing and validating project scope and fee, budget, and scope of services during the marketing and contract development process. The Project Manager will also assist in preparing and potentially leading client presentations, ensuring complete and timely communication of project information. Management responsibilities include working with the Project Architect to avoid schedule conflicts, planning, organizing, and managing projects, providing ongoing communication through team meetings, and communicating with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines. Client interface involves maintaining client relationships, keeping clients apprised of project progress, initiating and maintaining contact with key project individuals for clarification and negotiation, consulting with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements, and planning project layouts. Business development activities include participating in developing annual business plans, identifying new business opportunities, listening for and seeking out new projects, participating in marketing and business development opportunities, and assisting in the development of fee proposals. Staff development includes providing leadership, professional development coaching, mentoring staff, defining staff requirements, making recommendations for staff promotions/terminations, and potentially participating in interviews and recruiting.
