About The Position

The Project Manager shall be a single point of contact that shall report directly to customer leadership, task lead(s), system product owners, and function as primary authoritative manager overseeing a team of approximately 15 employees. This role is contingent upon award of contract. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of the project, analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project. Provide applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources. The Project Manager shall have extensive experience with project planning, project management/reporting, and risk management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Must be eligible and willing to obtain a government Public Trust
  • 6+ years of relevant experience as a Project Manager or 10 years of IT-related professional experience, including 6+ years of relevant experience as a Team Lead/Project Manager
  • Active certification in PMP
  • Experience managing legacy modernization and migration projects
  • Experience managing teams of 10 - 15 employees
  • Must have experience managing projects for the federal government
  • Experience with Agile DevOps, Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) software development projects
  • Experience managing project in Agile .NET and Microsoft PowerBI, SharePoint, Java, Azure cloud-based applications with in-depth understanding of technology and technical aspects of the project, ability to comprehend the complexities of software design and databases and anticipate technical and business challenges to ensure products align well with the project's goals
  • Experience working with federal customers on software development application projects involving scientists and researchers and statistical analysts for cloud-related application development projects

  • Dept. of HHS and or NIH is a plus
  • Experience with HHS ESDLC
