As a Project Manager, this role involves partnering with Engineering, Product Managers, Program Managers, and Business Managers to bring product roadmaps to life. Responsibilities span the entire product development lifecycle, from project initiation through development, testing, and product release. The Project Manager will specifically manage new products comprising software and embedded software, constructing plans and coordinating delivery across engineering and product teams in an Agile development environment. Facilitating decisions across departments and proactively addressing issues are critical for success. Project teams may include resources across global facilities, requiring work with international teams and potential domestic and international travel. Mentors and coaches will support career development, with opportunities for growth into roles with increased scope and responsibility after success in this position. The role reports to a manager in the Project Management Office and is based in Mayfield Heights, OH.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced training or certifications in PMI/PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Business Administration, Management, Operations, Project Engineering, or Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience in product or application development, especially with electronic hardware and embedded software
  • Experience in a project management or project leadership role
  • Partner with management and lead indirect resources
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning (including financial budgeting and forecasting), execution, and risk management
  • Knowledge of project/product management tools such as Atlassian Jira, Jama, SAP, and scheduling software
  • Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies, especially with the Scaled Agile Framework
  • Knowledge of product certifications, such as 61508 functional safety and 62443 security.
  • Technical knowledge of industrial controls, new product design, software/embedded software, product testing, or continuation engineering

Responsibilities

  • Partner with multi-discipline teams to manage project delivery plans, finances, and resource plans.
  • Look beyond the current project state to identify dependencies, anticipate obstacles and risks, and put mitigation and contingency plans in place.
  • Bring your team together to drive decisions, resolve complex project issues, and manage change.
  • Concisely communicate progress, decisions, issues, and mitigation plans to your team and senior leadership.
  • Ensure project alignment across other initiatives to avoid duplication or misaligned opportunities.
  • Provide input to product roadmaps and strategies to optimize new product and feature delivery.
