About The Position

PlanITROI is seeking a project manager to build and lead execution discipline across priority Center of Excellence (COE) projects at its repair and refurbishment facility in Youngsville, North Carolina. The role drives projects from approved scope through completion, coordinating functional and technical owners while those owners retain accountability for their solutions and deliverables. The position works closely with on-site Operations, off-site SG&A teams—including IS, IT, and Purchasing—and external vendors, generally influencing without direct authority. The portfolio includes repair-area redesign and expansion, repair productivity initiatives, parts management and automation, an AI Visual Identification System pilot and potential rollout, warehouse layout and material-flow optimization, and a future controlled pilot of humanoid robots or other physical AI options. Additional initiatives may include WMS automation and data integrity, AI-assisted technician training, automated inspection, finished-goods and shipping automation, workforce development, technician recruitment, and research with NC State University. The project manager facilitates scope, deliverables, owners, milestones, dependencies, acceptance criteria, budgets, risks, and leadership approvals. They maintain a shared portfolio dashboard and weekly reporting, manage vendors, identify blockers, coordinate recovery actions, and escalate decisions. They also spend time on the repair floor and in the warehouse validating progress and ensuring improvements can be implemented without disrupting production. Projects begin with an owner-approved business case and close with formal acceptance and a benefits handoff to the functional owner. Success is measured by predictable execution, milestone delivery, budget discipline, visibility, and issue resolution; project value and EBITDA impact inform portfolio priorities. The role is based at PlanITROI’s facility in Youngsville, North Carolina. PlanITROI is a founder-led company with more than 25 years of experience recovering value from retired IT devices through reuse, repair, refurbishment, and IT lifecycle services.
