About The Position

Vantage is seeking an ambitious Quality & Commissioning Project Manager (QCx Manager) to drive quality and commissioning across data center construction projects. The role represents Vantage and leads quality and commissioning efforts from design through turnover, serving as an ambassador for quality, safety, and commissioning best practices. The manager is expected to foster a positive, collaborative environment and act as a “Critical Friend” when needed. The QCx Project Manager oversees the quality and commissioning process to ensure systems are designed, installed, and tested to meet performance requirements. The role works with design teams, contractors, vendors, operations, and other stakeholders from pre-construction through handover to support operational readiness and compliance with quality, safety, and performance standards. The position is based on site in Goodyear, Arizona, with expected travel of 25%, which may change over time.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of experience in commissioning, construction management, automation systems, or related industries.
Ability to travel approximately 25%; travel expectations may evolve over time.

Responsibilities

Mentor Vantage team members in quality and commissioning processes.
Transfer knowledge of quality and commissioning procedures to Vantage team members and project stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership on quality and commissioning for applicable systems.
Contribute to innovations in design, installation, start-up, and commissioning that improve efficiency while maintaining high safety standards.
Coach teams on safety best practices for commissioning activities.
Share program-wide lessons learned with peers and transfer knowledge to active project teams.
Oversee development and implementation of commissioning plans, schedules, and protocols.
Coordinate with design and construction teams to integrate commissioning requirements into project workflows.
Oversee testing, verification, and validation of critical systems, including HVAC, electrical, and IT infrastructure.
Monitor documentation of testing and inspections related to quality and commissioning.
Conduct site inspections to confirm systems are installed according to design specifications and Vantage data center standards.
Manage issue resolution and provide stakeholders with regular progress updates.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety guidelines, and project requirements.
Prepare commissioning reports and ensure the operations team receives appropriate training.
