About The Position

Blue Energy is transforming the nuclear power industry by building plants in a factory setting on an assembly line, then transporting and assembling them at the site. This approach significantly reduces costs and construction time compared to traditional on-site construction. Requirements

• 15+ years of qualified experience in field and/or home office project execution (EPC experience preferred).
• Ability to prepare documents using MS Word, and familiarity with MS PowerPoint and MS Excel application software and BlueBeam or other PDF software.
• Willingness to travel when needed and work from Project Construction site or to other Company offices and supplier sites, as required, to coordinate project schedule information.
• A strong ability to act independently with support of management and other teams.
• Knowledge of EPC project lifecycle and interfaces between engineering, procurement, permitting, QA, HSSE and construction.
• Understanding of project control management basics such as earned value tracking, P6 scheduling, and cost tracking and forecasting.

Nice To Haves

• Energy services experience is desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields preferred but not required if experienced.
• Prior experience with gas turbines, HRSGs, and combined cycle plants.
• Proficient in standard tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Experience supporting field teams during construction and start-up phases.
• Familiarity with risk management, resource leveling, and scenario planning.
• Strong ability to manage detailed work.
• Ability to work independently to achieve a “goal” without requiring specific directions.

Responsibilities

• Manage major components of the overall project and potentially other leads managing sub-components.
• Manage all aspects of sub-projects, teams executing sub-projects, or specific scope areas, including EOR contractors, utility coordination, EPC contractor, site logistics, excavation, site characterization, and owner-supplied equipment packages from design through commissioning.
• Report on the status and requirements of assigned scope areas.
• Cooperate and integrate deeply with Blue Energy's scope engineering leads, principal project manager, execution partners, procurement team, project controls and scheduling team, development team, finance team, stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.
• Ensure schedule adherence and input, monitor budget and cost, log and resolve action items, and complete the scope of work on time and on budget.
• Identify roadblocks, consolidate them for the Blue Energy team's attention, and mitigate them with the full team and the Principal Project Manager.
• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering, procurement, permitting, fabrication, and construction of the scope of work.
• Ensure technical accuracy, compliance with standards, and effective communication between project managers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Drive project elements from concept through completion by managing documentation, schedules, budgets, engineering deliverables, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Assist in the planning, design, and execution of sub-projects and scope areas, which may include EOR contractor management and utility integration, EPC construction, site logistics, deep shaft/excavation, and remaining site characterization.
• Manage the full delivery cycle (engineering through commissioning) of major owner-supplied equipment packages for the BE CCGT power plant, as assigned.
• Manage execution partners related to the scope of work (BE and Contractors).
• Ensure transparency by facilitating communication and by utilizing tools (meeting minutes, action item logs, RFI logs, schedules, etc.).
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, and budgets; escalate risks or delays in coordination with the project controls team and others.
• Identify, report, and mitigate deviations from scope, cost, or schedule.
• Conduct site visits to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with design standards.
• Support procurement activities, including RFIs, submittals, and material takeoffs.
• Analyze information for potential risk or opportunity.
• Lead team members supporting the scope of work.
• Ensure compliance with company requirements, industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements in cooperation with stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and project status updates for management.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and turnover documentation.
• Monitor and ensure adequate tracking of procurement deliveries and subcontract execution.
• Perform all other necessary tasks needed to successfully complete a scope of work.
