Project Manager, Production Lines

FluidstackAustin, TX
$196,000 - $233,000

About The Position

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, focusing on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. This involves rethinking every layer of the stack, from acquiring power to designing, building, and operating data centers. The company values extreme ownership, velocity, first principles thinking, and a passion for the AI frontier, often involving long hours at high intensity. This role is crucial for managing the production lines that build modular data center components, ensuring speed and scale are maintained. Fluidstack is committed to pay equity and transparency and is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. They consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records pursuant to applicable law. Applicants will receive a confirmation email upon successful application submission.

Requirements

  • Owned the schedule and delivery for a production or manufacturing line and hit throughput targets under real deadline pressure.
  • Found and cleared bottlenecks on a line, and can point to the cycle-time or yield improvement that resulted.
  • Coordinate across engineering, supply chain, and operations without losing the thread on what is actually blocking the line today.
  • Run production reporting and controls as a discipline, so status is never a surprise to the people depending on it.
  • Scaled a line or a production process as volume grew, not just kept a steady-state one running.
  • Communicate clearly enough to keep a shop floor and a leadership team working off the same picture.

Nice To Haves

  • Modular or prefabricated construction.
  • Data center or electrical equipment manufacturing.
  • Lean or Six Sigma production methods.
  • Program controls tooling for schedule and earned value.
  • Manufacturing scale-up in a high-growth company.

Responsibilities

  • Run the schedule, milestones, and daily operating rhythm for the production lines building modular data center components, keeping every line aligned to the build pipeline.
  • Drive throughput and cycle-time gains on the line, clearing the bottlenecks between a design release and a finished unit shipping.
  • Coordinate across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and design so parts, tooling, and specs land on the line before they gate production.
  • Track production status, work in progress, and delivery against commitments, and surface slippage early enough to recover it.
  • Stand up the reporting and controls that make production performance visible to leadership in real time.

Benefits

  • Pay equity and transparency
