About The Position

The Project Manager, MEPF - Aviation reports to the Senior Project Manager and is responsible for managing the scope, schedule, cost, and operational interfaces of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) systems across complex construction programs. This role supports delivery of large-scale infrastructure improvements focused on modernization, system reliability, operational efficiency, and safety. The position manages MEPF systems through design, construction, commissioning, and turnover, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and minimizing disruption to active facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (required)
  • 10+ years of experience in MEPF systems design and construction
  • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems integration
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS), controls, and commissioning processes
  • Ability to manage complex technical scopes in active operational environments
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and BIM coordination tools (Revit preferred)
  • Proof of legal ability to work in the United States
  • Background check

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary technical liaison for MEPF systems
  • Manage MEPF scope, schedule, and budget throughout design and construction
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls systems integration (BAS/HVAC/life safety)
  • Oversee design coordination, constructability reviews, and technical alignment with operational requirements
  • Lead procurement and evaluation of consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Manage installation, testing, startup, commissioning, and turnover activities
  • Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and phased construction activities in active operational environments
  • Identify and resolve technical, constructability, and system integration issues
  • Review RFIs, submittals, and change proposals
  • Track cost, schedule, and system performance metrics
  • Maintain project documentation including testing, commissioning, and turnover records
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance teams, designers, and contractors
  • Prepare progress reports, executive updates, and technical readiness summaries
  • Evaluate contractor performance and support pay application review
  • Support stakeholder coordination across multidisciplinary teams
  • Assist in developing project reporting metrics and executive dashboards
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain documentation of decisions and action items
  • Support field investigations and infrastructure assessments as needed
  • Perform additional duties as required to support project delivery
  • Maintain professional development and industry knowledge in MEPF systems and construction practices
