We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Mechanical Construction) to join our large-project MCaP division. We need talented individuals, like you, to lead complex, high impact projects and can help us continue to grow and succeed! The Project Manager is accountable for the full lifecycle delivery of large-scale mechanical construction projects—from preconstruction through closeout. This role drives safety, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction while leading cross-functional teams and building long-term client relationships.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical construction methods and systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing)
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret construction documents across multiple disciplines
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing union labor environments
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
  • 5–10+ years of experience managing large-scale mechanical construction projects
  • Proven success delivering complex projects (healthcare, labs, higher ed, industrial, R&D)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean Construction and/or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of project delivery (planning, execution, closeout)
  • Ensure scope alignment, constructability, and contract compliance
  • Oversee coordination with design teams and other trades
  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture
  • Enforce company and client safety standards
  • Ensure site-specific safety plans and weekly documentation
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
  • Oversee change order development, pricing, and approval
  • Partner with accounting on billing and financial tracking
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
  • Monitor labor productivity, material costs, and performance metrics
  • Coordinate staffing and subcontractor activities
  • Identify and implement prefabrication opportunities
  • Coordinate fabrication workflows and field integration
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Lead project communication and issue resolution
  • Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
  • Develop contingency plans to protect schedule and budget
