About The Position

Pape-Dawson is seeking a full-time Landscape Architect Project Manager for its Knoxville, Tennessee office. The office is expanding its team and regional connections, and the role offers the opportunity to contribute to projects serving East Tennessee communities. The successful candidate will be creative and collaborative, with a passion for creating authentic, innovative, and functional places.

The position works on a broad range of projects, including master-planned communities, parks, green infrastructure, urban plazas and infill, mixed-use spaces, and urban streetscape redevelopment. The Project Manager collaborates with landscape architects, civil engineers, and land surveyors on commercial, residential, mixed-use, and park projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a planning and design firm.
• Portfolio of previous land development projects, public or private.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, LandFX, and Adobe Suite.
• Adaptability and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• RLA or AICP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project structure, budget, and schedule.
• Review design criteria, documents, and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist department leads with preparing proposals and assigning project teams.
• Manage and mentor a team to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Lead monthly project billing processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Manage project design using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software.
• Attend and lead meetings with clients, reviewing agencies, contractors, and other design professionals.
• Perform additional related duties as needed.
