About The Position

Pape-Dawson is expanding across Tennessee, and its Knoxville office is building a team to serve communities throughout East Tennessee. The company is seeking a full-time Landscape Architect Project Manager for its Knoxville, Tennessee office. The role offers work across master-planned communities, parks, green infrastructure, urban plazas and infill, mixed-use spaces, and urban streetscape redevelopment.

The position collaborates with landscape architects, civil engineers, and land surveyors to help clients develop commercial, residential, mixed-use, and park projects. The Project Manager oversees project structure, budgets, schedules, design, and billing, while mentoring a team and coordinating with clients, reviewing agencies, contractors, and other design professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a planning and design firm.
• Portfolio of previous land development projects, public or private.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, LandFX, and Adobe Suite.
• Adaptability and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• RLA or AICP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project structure, budget, and schedule.
• Review design criteria, documents, and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist department leads with proposal preparation and project team assignments.
• Manage and mentor a team to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Lead monthly project billing processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Manage project design using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software.
• Attend and lead meetings with clients, reviewing agencies, contractors, and other design professionals.
• Perform additional related duties as needed.
