About The Position

In Bohler’s Red Bank, NJ office, you’ll step into a leadership role guiding projects across landscape architecture, planning, and land development. You’ll manage work from early strategy through agency approvals, coordinating with clients, internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders across the Jersey Shore. This role sits at the center of project direction, technical oversight, client partnership, staff development, and forward momentum across the entire project lifecycle. You will lead complex planning and landscape architecture projects, strengthen client relationships, and shape the direction of development work across the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Planning
  • 10+ years of experience in private-sector landscape architecture and land development
  • Licensed Landscape Architect (ASLA) required
  • Expertise with AutoCAD (Civil3D), Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and SketchUp
  • Strong capability in budgets, contracts, and project financial management
  • Ability to manage multiple teams, deadlines, and fast-paced project demands
  • Clear, confident written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
  • High energy, flexibility, and leadership in dynamic environments
  • Experience integrating and directing multidisciplinary design teams
  • Applicants must have current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Establish planning and landscape architecture direction on multidisciplinary projects
  • Manage the development of drawings, exhibits, calculations, and supporting materials
  • Oversee resource planning, forecasting, and staff utilization
  • Communicate with clients, internal teams, reviewing agencies, and project partners
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and support construction administration
  • Lead client management, ensuring alignment, coordination, and satisfaction
  • Manage financial components, including contracts, budgets, and change orders
  • Prepare and review proposals, scopes, and fee structures
  • Contribute to business development through networking and relationship-building
  • Maintain visibility and leadership within civic, political, professional, and industry organizations
  • Develop and mentor staff through ongoing guidance, feedback, and performance discussions
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with standards, expectations, and QA/QC processes
