About The Position

This role is responsible for the initiation, planning and delivery of Business Issue Resolution Tracking and Tax Related Issue Management projects supporting Individual Life, Retirement and Benefits Divisions, as needed. Projects will have multiple customers/stakeholders across many departments and functions, a moderately sized project team in multiple locations, external partners or vendors, and a moderately complex technology component.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of project management experience leading cross-functional business and technology initiatives or relevant Project Management experience.
  • 2-5 years of cumulative, relevant Individual Life Division experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong meeting facilitation and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Analytical problem solver with strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with change management and project governance processes.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience).
  • High school diploma required.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant project management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile, or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead medium-sized cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate project teams across multiple departments, locations, and external vendor partners.
  • Manage Business Issue Resolution Tracking and Tax Related Issue Management projects supporting the Individual Life, Retirement, and Benefits divisions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies while managing project change requests.
  • Communicate project updates, milestones, and key metrics to stakeholders, leadership, and executive teams.
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain alignment among business and technical partners.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Mentor team members and provide guidance on project management best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with partners across Product Management, IT, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and external vendors.
