About The Position

This role focuses on managing projects within Walmart Central Operations, specifically in supply chain sustainment and implementation. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing tools to support project initiatives, leading projects from initiation to completion, analyzing business efficiencies, and implementing solutions to reduce costs and meet business goals. The position requires strong analytical skills, leadership, and the ability to build partnerships with stakeholders. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Sciences, Business, or related field and 2 years’ experience in project management, operations management, or related field OR 4 years’ experience in project management, operations management, or related field.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Develops tools that support project initiatives, including feedback collection and gap identification tools, by gathering and analyzing data, designing and formatting tools, assessing enhancement requirements, implementing finalized products, tracking usage and feedback, addressing issues, and maintaining tools and reports.
  • Leads a large project or multiple medium-sized projects by defining scope and objectives, working with business units to identify goals, success criteria, assumptions, risks, and issues, coordinating planning activities (e.g., business requirements, risk assessment, diagrams, target dates), and assembling management plans.
  • Develops and implements resource plans, monitors budgets and costs, manages changes to plans (scope, schedule, costs), and ensures adherence to established project standards.
  • Analyzes business efficiencies for Walmart Central Operations sustainment and implementation projects using various analytical methodologies.
  • Develops creative solutions within business areas that reduce cost or meet business goals.
  • Uses judgment to prioritize assignments, ensures data accuracy, applies business measures and analyses to identify improvement opportunities, probes beyond symptoms to determine root causes of problems and identify possible solutions.
  • Develops, automates, and implements tools to support project analytics and communicates project metrics to leadership.
  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies it to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Supports and aligns efforts to meet customer and business needs and builds commitment for perspectives and rationales.
  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
