About The Position

This role is responsible for managing projects within Walmart's Central Operations sustainment and implementation initiatives. The Project Manager will develop tools to support project goals, lead projects from initiation to completion, analyze business efficiencies, and implement solutions to reduce costs and improve business processes. The position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to build partnerships, and a commitment to upholding company values and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Sciences, Business, or related field and 2 years’ experience in project management, operations management, or related field OR 4 years’ experience in project management, operations management, or related field.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Develops tools that support project initiatives, such as feedback collection and gap identification tools, by gathering and analyzing data, designing tools, assessing enhancement requirements, implementing finalized products, tracking usage, and addressing issues.
  • Leads large or multiple medium-sized projects by defining scope and objectives, coordinating planning activities (e.g., business requirements, risk assessment, diagrams, target dates), assembling management plans, and developing resource plans.
  • Monitors project budgets and costs, manages changes to scope, schedule, and costs, and ensures adherence to established project standards.
  • Analyzes business efficiencies for sustainment and implementation projects using various analytical methodologies.
  • Develops creative solutions to reduce costs or meet business goals, prioritizes assignments, ensures data accuracy, applies business measures to identify improvement opportunities, and probes for root causes of problems.
  • Develops, automates, and implements tools to support project analytics and communicates project metrics to leadership.
  • Demonstrates uptodate expertise and applies it to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans.
  • Provides expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.
  • Supports and aligns efforts to meet customer and business needs and builds commitment for perspectives and rationales.
  • Builds relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to support the implementation of business solutions.
  • Identifies business needs and determines and carries out necessary processes and practices.
