About The Position

This role is responsible for managing projects within Walmart's Central Operations sustainment and implementation initiatives. The Project Manager will develop tools to support project goals, lead projects from initiation to completion, analyze business efficiencies, and ensure adherence to project standards. The position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a focus on driving improvements and delivering solutions that align with business needs and company values.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Arts, Sciences, Business, or related field and 2 years’ experience in project management, operations management, or related field OR 4 years’ experience in project management, operations management, or related field.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develops tools that support project initiatives, including feedback collection and gap identification tools, by gathering and analyzing data, designing and formatting tools, assessing enhancement requirements, implementing finalized products, tracking usage and feedback, addressing issues, and maintaining tools and reports.
• Leads a large project or multiple medium-sized projects by defining scope and objectives, coordinating planning activities (e.g., business requirements, risk assessment, diagrams, target dates), assembling management plans, developing and implementing resource plans, monitoring budgets and costs, managing changes to plans, and ensuring adherence to project standards.
• Analyzes business efficiencies for Walmart Central Operations sustainment and implementation projects using various analytical methodologies, developing creative solutions to reduce costs or meet business goals, prioritizing assignments, ensuring data accuracy, applying business measures and analyses to identify improvement opportunities, probing for root causes, identifying solutions, developing and implementing tools for project analytics, and communicating project metrics to leadership.
• Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies it to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance, supporting alignment with customer and business needs, and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
• Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices, monitoring progress and results, recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities, and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
