About The Position

This role focuses on managing projects within Walmart Central Operations, specifically in supply chain sustainment and implementation. The Project Manager II will be responsible for developing and implementing tools to support project initiatives, analyzing business efficiencies, and leading projects from initiation to completion. Key aspects include data analysis, process improvement, stakeholder management, and ensuring adherence to project standards and company values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Sciences, Business, or related field and 2 years’ experience in project management, operations management, or related field OR 4 years’ experience in project management, operations management, or related field.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Develops tools that support project initiatives (e.g., feedback collection, gap identification) by gathering and analyzing data, designing tools, assessing enhancement requirements, implementing products, tracking usage, and maintaining tools and reports.
  • Leads large or multiple medium-sized projects by defining scope and objectives, coordinating planning activities (e.g., business requirements, risk assessment, target dates), developing management plans, and monitoring budgets and costs.
  • Manages changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring adherence to established project standards.
  • Analyzes business efficiencies for sustainment and implementation projects using various analytical methodologies.
  • Develops creative solutions to reduce costs or meet business goals, prioritizing assignments, ensuring data accuracy, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Probes beyond symptoms to determine root causes of problems and identify possible solutions.
  • Develops, automates, and implements tools to support project analytics and communicates project metrics to leadership.
  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies it to action plans, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Builds relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to implement business solutions.
  • Identifies business needs, determines and carries out necessary processes and practices, and monitors progress and results.
