About The Position

The Project Manager for In-Service Bridge Inspection is responsible for winning, managing, monitoring, and delivering projects that are high quality, profitable, and result in client satisfaction. The role oversees in-service bridge inspection projects for state and local agencies to ensure compliance with the National Bridge Inventory System, as well as work on non-NBI structures such as culverts and pedestrian bridges. The position may also lead inspections of port and marine structures, water and wastewater facilities, dams, and irrigation infrastructure across the Pacific Northwest. Depending on experience and career goals, the manager may also manage bridge and structural design or construction engineering management projects. The position requires a broad technical background, strong communication and organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to assimilate complex technical information and make informed decisions. It calls for technical proficiency, leadership and guidance for less experienced team members, and a seller-doer approach involving business development, client relations, staff leadership, and business management. The manager works independently with minimal oversight on multiple moderate-sized, moderately complex projects and is accountable for project quality, client satisfaction, and financial outcomes. The role offers autonomy and resources to grow the firm's inspection services in the region. Project managers and project management staff coordinate and oversee activities across multiple locations. This includes visiting job sites, meeting clients and project partners off-site, attending stakeholder meetings and industry events, traveling for permitting and coordination, and responding to urgent project needs. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. The work environment is typically moderately noisy; employees are regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use their hands, and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.
