About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fire alarm scope across multiple projects, including planning, submittals, procurement, installation, testing, and turnover. Ensures compliance with applicable codes, project schedules, and safety standards, while serving as the primary point of contact for all fire alarm-related execution across job sites. The role involves the planning, execution, and management of fire alarm system installation for projects, coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and authorities to ensure compliance with design specifications, code requirements, and schedule expectations. The Project Manager manages the fire alarm scope from preconstruction through final commissioning, interfaces regularly with the Project Management Team to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project goals, and ensures all work is performed in accordance with NFPA standards, local AHJ requirements, and IES safety policies. The position will require travel to project sites.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of fire alarm project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems including Fire Alarm, DAS, Access Control, and Building Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage all phases of fire alarm installation including submittals, material procurement, installation oversight, coordination with testing agencies, and final turnover.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical schematics, and code references including NFPA 70, NFPA 72, and NFPA 101.
  • Experience coordinating with local inspectors and Authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Proficient in construction documentation and scheduling tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment background check and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • NICET Level II certification or higher preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
