Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management related to Hospital Facilities Operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
  • Experience with IT projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and manage multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Project ICRA’s submittals and oversight (infection control risk assessment) as well as working with infection control.
  • Working with Safety on all ILSM (interim life safety measures) for all projects.
  • Capital funding management and project management related to renovation of buildings and facilities at a Scripps Health site(s).
  • Directs and assists, in collaboration with facility design and construction team, contracted personnel in the cost estimating, planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance improvement project work.
  • Serves as the site liaison for facilities design and construction projects.
  • Studies specifications to determine appropriate planning and procedures for each project, including the schedule and staffing requirements for each phase of the project.
  • Serves as the liaison between the contracted workforce and the applicable hospital departments.
  • Collaborates with patient care departments to ensure safe work practices with minimum interruption to services.
  • Orders tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform with work schedules.
  • Confers with and directs subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of the project to prevent delays.
  • Inspects work in progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications and that project and phasing schedules are adhered to.
  • Prepares reports on progress, materials used and costs.
  • Adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
