This position involves matrix supervision of internal staff, external consultants, and contractors/vendors. The Project Manager acts as the Owner's real property steward, overseeing Mayo Clinic's buildings and real estate development and sustainment. They assist in master planning, facility evaluations, and equipment planning/procurement. Utilizing advanced negotiation skills and various contracting options, they implement institutional directions as the Owner's contracting officer. Familiarity with state and regulatory guidelines and codes is essential, as is reviewing construction for compliance. The role requires extensive organization and planning skills to manage a diverse workload efficiently, strong decision-making capabilities, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation abilities. Collaboration across Mayo Clinic departments and corporations is key, as is adaptability in a changing environment. Additional assignments may be given, and project support may need to be adjusted based on fluctuating workloads.
