Project Manager, Facilities / TI

FluidstackAustin, TX
$196,000 - $233,000

About The Position

Fluidstack exists to make humanity more free by delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. This involves acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them. The company is focused on speed and scale as key differentiators in building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI. They hire people who care deeply about this problem space and operate with extreme ownership, velocity, first principles, and a love of the game, often involving long hours at high intensity. This role is responsible for running tenant improvement and facilities projects from kickoff to closeout, managing scope, schedule, budget, and contractors. The Project Manager will coordinate general contractors, architects, and vendors across concurrent office and facility buildouts, track budget and schedule, manage permitting and inspections, and own project documentation to ensure clean project closeouts.

Requirements

  • You've run tenant improvement or facilities construction projects end to end, on your own dates and your own budget.
  • You've managed general contractors and vendors on active buildouts and held them to scope and schedule.
  • You track budget and schedule closely enough to flag a slip while there's still time to fix it.
  • You've handled permitting, inspections, and AHJ sign-offs and know how to keep them off the critical path.
  • You keep RFIs, submittals, and punch lists organized so nothing falls through the cracks on a busy project.
  • You close projects cleanly, with documentation done and no loose ends handed to the next team.

Nice To Haves

  • Data center, mission-critical, or manufacturing environments.
  • Multi-site or multi-state buildouts.
  • Program controls or PMO tooling (P6, Procore).
  • Office and lab TI at speed.

  • Manage permitting, inspections, and AHJ sign-offs so buildouts open on time and to code.
  • Own project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and punch lists, closing each project cleanly with nothing left hanging.
