About The Position

They specialize in commercial design-build, tenant improvements, and ground-up construction, with projects ranging from $200K to $4M+. They operate BES Electric in-house, which provides a competitive advantage in estimating, scheduling, and project delivery. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial and/or residential construction — project management, estimating, or both.
  • An established network of contacts in the Phoenix / Maricopa County commercial construction market.
  • Proven track record of developing client relationships and contributing to business growth.
  • Proficiency with construction estimating and project management software; JobTread experience strongly preferred as KRB’s primary platform.
  • Ability to read full construction document sets and manage multi-trade scopes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you will interface directly with clients and ownership.
  • Self-directed, organized, and accountable — this role owns its desk.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical estimating experience — highly valued given our in-house electrical company BES Electric.
  • Existing relationships with the commercial real estate community in the Phoenix metro.
  • Experience with CompanyCam for field photo documentation.
  • Background in design-build project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage existing network of commercial real estate brokers, property managers, architects, and owners to generate new project opportunities for KRB.
  • Represent KRB at industry events, client meetings, and pre-bid walks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with repeat clients and referral sources.
  • Collaborate with ownership on pipeline strategy, target markets, and proposal approach.
  • Perform complete quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial TI, ground-up, and residential projects.
  • Solicit, review, and level subcontractor bids across all applicable trades.
  • Coordinate with BES Electric (in-house) for integrated electrical scope and pricing.
  • Prepare polished, competitive bid packages and client proposals using JobTread.
  • Maintain current estimating database: labor rates, material pricing, and subcontractor relationships.
  • Track bid results and win rates; report to ownership regularly.
  • Manage awarded projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Own the schedule, budget, subcontractor coordination, and client communication on your projects.
  • Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily logs via JobTread and CompanyCam.
  • Conduct regular site visits and coordinate with KRB field superintendents.
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to KRB’s quality and integrity standards.
