About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee documentation control, project closeout, and formal sign-off processes for a large-scale, mission-critical data center construction program in Northern Indiana. This role will be responsible for ensuring all project deliverables, turnover documentation, and completion requirements are accurately tracked, compiled, and approved in line with client and contractual standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction project controls, closeout management, and documentation processes within complex commercial or mission-critical projects, with the ability to coordinate across multiple trades, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in construction project management, project controls, or closeout/documentation roles
  • Strong experience in large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects
  • Knowledge of construction documentation requirements including as-builts, O&M manuals, and commissioning records
  • Experience managing multi-trade closeout processes across complex projects
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to track multiple deliverables across many subcontractors and workstreams
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across field and office teams

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data center, healthcare, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects preferred
  • Proficiency with project management/document control systems (Procore, Aconex, BIM 360 or similar) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or data center projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project documentation and closeout processes across multiple construction packages
  • Develop and maintain turnover trackers, closeout logs, and completion dashboards
  • Coordinate project sign-off requirements across all trades and subcontractors
  • Manage final project documentation including as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, test reports, and commissioning records
  • Track punch lists, deficiencies, and ensure timely resolution and closure
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, project controls, and field teams to verify completion status
  • Ensure all deliverables meet client requirements, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards
  • Organize and maintain structured project filing systems (digital and physical as required)
  • Lead closeout meetings and provide regular progress reporting on turnover status
  • Support client handover processes and ensure all documentation packages are complete and approved
  • Identify gaps in documentation early and drive resolution with responsible parties
  • Ensure smooth transition from construction completion to operational readiness
