About The Position

Energy Project Solutions (EPS) is an energy consulting firm that helps partners deliver efficient, high-value projects through localized expertise and real-world insight. With more than 500 years of collective experience, our team leads complex energy developments from inception through construction, bringing deep knowledge across engineering, real estate, business development, and finance while leveraging strong relationships with developers, owners, financial institutions, and property owners nationwide. We are looking for a Project Manager, Development Services to join our growing team and support utility-scale renewable energy projects across the United States. This role will initially support a large-scale project in New Mexico, with the opportunity to take ownership of additional development projects and workstreams as the team continues to grow.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in renewable energy development, project management, consulting, engineering, or a related field. We are flexible on experience for the right candidate.
  • Experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, battery energy storage, wind, or other large-scale energy infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of one or more areas of project development such as permitting, site control, site identification, interconnection, due diligence, environmental review, or development project management.
  • Experience working with consultants, developers, utilities, agencies, or other external project stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage schedules, deliverables, competing priorities, and multiple workstreams with limited oversight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of projects and workstreams and seeing them through to completion.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to recognize when an issue needs to be elevated or addressed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for a consulting, engineering, development-services, or similar professional services organization is preferred.
  • Experience with New Mexico renewable energy development is preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, business, construction management, planning, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects from early-stage development through project readiness.
  • Take ownership of assigned project workstreams, timelines, deliverables, and action items.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, landowners, agencies, utilities, and other project stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.
  • Support key areas of renewable energy development, including permitting, site control, site identification, interconnection, due diligence, and project planning.
  • Manage third-party consultants and vendors, including scopes of work, schedules, deliverables, and overall performance.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, identify risks, and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review technical and project documentation and help identify potential issues, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate information across multiple disciplines and workstreams to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Participate in client meetings and serve as a reliable point of contact for assigned projects and workstreams.
  • Prepare project updates, reports, presentations, and other materials for clients and internal leadership.
  • Help identify and resolve project issues through thoughtful analysis, organization, and proactive communication.
  • Manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Contribute to the continued development of EPS's Development Services capabilities, processes, and client relationships.
