About The Position

The Project Manager, Data Operations is responsible for coordinating the implementation of data feeds into and out of the company, including 834, 837, and other proprietary eligibility and claims EDI processes, COB and group files for various health plans. This includes ensuring success in configuring EDI processes and aligning Data Operations with key business priorities and deliverables. This role is technical, requiring an understanding of File Transfer and EDI processes, including eligibility, claims, and accumulators, among others. You will work closely with Account Managers, Implementation Managers, clients, and their benefits partners, as well as the Internal Data Operations teams responsible for execution. This role is On-Site in Tempe, AZ.

Requirements

  • Completed a B.S./M.S. in Healthcare Administration, Project Management or relevant equivalent.
  • 5-9 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Implementation Manager, Engineer, EDI Specialist, or other related Medical Insurance roles.
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate integration discussions with third parties, develop and maintain documentation, coordinate extensive testing with multiple parties and perform impact assessments.
  • Manage deliverables in JIRA, Confluence, and relevant collaboration tools.
  • Determine and document EDI requirements and confirm these meet customer needs by reviewing with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc).
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully analyzing data, gathering requirements, and providing valuable insights and solutions to support business decision-making.
  • Competence in using various data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other relevant software.
  • Experience with ANSI 5010 transactions like 837, 835, 834, 270/271.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, articulate complex information to diverse stakeholders, and present findings in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, facilitate discussions, and negotiate requirements among various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery for data operations teams, including requirements gathering, file specification development, execution, and monitoring.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners, along with healthcare providers and payors to ensure all Inbound and Outbound EDI connections are setup properly, including coordinating resolution of any issues.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for changes to a client’s benefits.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain high standards for data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and KPIs.
  • Continuously enhance data-related processes and workflows.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners as needed.
