About The Position

The Project Manager supports the coordination and resolution of deficiencies for our Vancouver Building Services group, working on smaller-scale projects (typically $100K–$500K). Working closely with construction teams, trades, and quality control, this individual ensures deficiencies are tracked and resolved efficiently. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring strong organization, communication, and coordination skills to keep projects moving efficiently through close-out. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, deficiency management, or a related field within the buildings construction sector (commercial, institutional, residential, or mixed-use).
  • Hands-on, on-the-tools experience is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize multiple deficiency items and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience working directly with trades, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, quote tracking, and documentation management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management or a related discipline is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and promotes Ledcor's safety culture on site, ensuring safety and environmental standards are met or exceeded.
  • Maintain deficiency lists, tracking outstanding items, updating schedules, and monitoring progress toward completion targets.
  • Coordinate with trades, construction teams, consultants, and quality control personnel to support the timely resolution of deficiencies and project milestones.
  • Participate in quality control inspections and audits to verify work meets company standards prior to project completion.
  • Coordinate project close-out activities, including final inspections, documentation, and turnover requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with trades, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding project updates, scheduling, and deficiency resolution.
  • Assist with scheduling, reporting, purchase orders, material procurement, quote tracking, documentation management, and departmental administration.
