The Project Manager Assistant will manage scope, schedule, and budget for client transportation projects including roadway design, traffic signals, transportation planning, and environmental work. This role involves managing the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications, overseeing the preparation and review of preliminary and final plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates, and recommending changes when necessary. The position may also participate in contract bidding and administration, and supervise and guide design projects through client processes, coordinating with city, state, and county officials, as well as outside agencies. The Project Manager Assistant will coordinate projects with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal firm staff, and communicate with project teams, client representatives, review agencies, and other stakeholders. This role will address complex issues by involving subject matter experts and client management, and meet program and client goals and reporting metrics for projects. Training will be provided as needed to stay current on client and firm requirements.
